GarageGPT respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the GarageGPT mobile application.

1. Using GarageGPT

GarageGPT can be used without creating an account. Some features, including premium and AI-powered functionality, may require you to create an account and sign in.

2. Information We Collect

• Vehicle information: Vehicle registration numbers, MOT history, tax status, mileage, service records, and related vehicle data that you choose to search for or store within the app.
• Account information (optional): If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details required to provide account-based features.
• Usage and technical data: Limited technical information such as app version, device type, and crash or error logs. This data is used to maintain app stability, diagnose issues, and improve performance.
• Subscription information: Premium subscriptions are processed securely by Apple App Store or Google Play. GarageGPT does not receive or store your payment card details.

AI-powered diagnostic features and advanced analysis tools are available only to signed-in premium users. Any information you provide to these features is used solely to deliver the requested functionality.

3. Device Permissions

GarageGPT may request access to certain device features, such as the camera, only when required for user-initiated actions within the app.

Camera access is used solely to support app functionality (for example, capturing images you choose to provide) and is never accessed without your knowledge or interaction.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide vehicle checks, insights, and app features
• Enable and manage premium and account-based functionality
• Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
• Respond to support requests and user enquiries

5. Data Sharing

GarageGPT does not sell your personal data.

We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. Data may be processed by trusted service providers only where necessary to deliver core app functionality (such as hosting, analytics, or app store services), and always in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

6. Data Storage and Security

Vehicle data and account information are stored securely using appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.

GarageGPT does not currently provide automatic cloud backup of user-generated vehicle data unless explicitly stated within the app.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may use GarageGPT without creating an account. If you create an account, you may request account deletion by contacting us.
